We have heard back from the Echo and they will be putting the pictures of our Reception children in tomorrows paper! We were not the only school to have been left out and they have apologised.
We now have a 'Closed' Group Facebook page for parents/carers and relatives to view, please see the 'Follow Us' tab to access the page.
After School Club - please remember that you must pay for this two weeks in advance, please see the school office. Pick up times are 4.10 pm and 5.10 pm, please be aware that if you are late picking up your child you may be charged.
Class of 2014 - remembering your childs first day at school! The Echo Reception photos will be in the newspaper Tuesday 30th September if you would like to buy a copy of the photo please ring them direct on 01268 469336.
Tuesday 30th September the photographer is coming! Individual and sibling photos please wear smart uniform!
Thursday 2nd October, Autumn Census Day 'Special Menu' - Boxed Lunch - with Sausage Rolls or Cheese Puff, Chicken or Vegetable Nuggets, cheese or ham roll, crisps, cucumber sticks and cherry tomatoes and for dessert a biscuit and a drink.
The work started on our commemorative mosaic on Monday 15th September, see the WWI tab in Community Events for pictures of how the mosaic is taking shape, some have been added here to show you how it is progressing and it is going to be amazing!

2013/2014 SATs result figures are now available for you to look at via the School Documents SATs tab, see how we compare against National figures.
You will have noticed the DB Primary log in sign in the righthand corner at the top of the page, if your child has misplaced his or her log in details we will be re-issuing them again this half term. DB Primary is our Virtual Learning Environment for our school. Children can safely email each other, write blogs, find out homework details, browse safe learning content and personalise their areas.
You may be forgiven for forgetting that from this term ALL KS1 children, this includes, RECEPTION, YEAR 1 AND YEAR 2 are now eligible for FREE SCHOOL MEALS! This includes our hot or cold dinners and Jacket potato option, don't delay see the school office for more details now!
We'd like to welcome our new class teachers Mrs Rebecca Watts and Miss Gemma Cutmore and trainee teacher Miss Sarah Childs, LSA Miss Jo Jowers and Mrs Tina Orvis our new Catering Assistant.
Please see Community Events - Activities for Children - Free Rugby for 3 weeks - for the chance for your child to experience Rugby for FREE with The Rochford Hundred Rugby Club. Hockey at KES for 7 to 13 yr olds and Activities for Adults have the new KES Courses Time Table.

The new school run After School Club starts this month. It will cost £3 per hour or £5 for two, starting at the end of the school day until 5.10pm. There is a copy of the booking form and more details in the Clubs tab under Our School. Please note all bookings and payments need to be paid fortnightly in advance or your child will not be guaranteed a place.
Our lunchtime, breakfast and tuck menus will be changing from this month, also the types of food we can offer to our After School Club children. From January 2015 all schools must meet the new, healthier, standards for school foods that were announced by the Government on 17th June 2014. The food-based standards for all school food other than lunches apply to all food and drink provided by local authorities or school governing bodies to pupils on and off school premises, during an extended school day.
